Alway thought that there is only one store in Alexandra village for good Ang Ku Kueh (红龟粿). But recently found that there are actually two famous Ang Ku Kueh store, 老婶阿嬤潮州粿 and POH CHEU (寳洲手工制作筍粿红龟粿). Both have won several awards such as Makansutra and recommendations from the various press .They also sell Soon Kueh(筍粿), Rice Cake(饭粿) and Ku Cai Kueh(韭菜粿). I did not try all their Kuehs but both store sells good tasty kueh.
老婶阿嬤潮州粿 is located at Blk125 Bukit Merah Lane 1, in an air-con HDB shophouse.
POH CHEU Handmade Soon Kway Ang Ku Kway is located at Blk127 Bukit Merah Lane 1, inside a coffee shop.
