Gina's Vadai Lost and Found

Makan Places Lost and Found 3We watch Michelle enjoying her Vadai (pronounced "vah-dey") in the TV show "Your Makan Places Lost and Found 3". Decided to find the place and try it ourselves. The Vadai (many call it indian donut) were from Gina's Vadai located at the junction of East Coast Rd and Still Rd.

Gina's VadaiWe ordered a cheese vadai, a Chilli and a prawn one. Their vadai is quite small and expensive. Each vadai cost 80 cents and the cheese vadai is $1.80.
They are not as tasty as expected. The Cheese vadai taste abit like cheese pancake. Chinese fried prawn cake taste better and crispier than the prawn vadai.

Carlton RestaurantThe store is actually located inside a coffeeshop called "Carlton Restaurant"

well, i don't think it's expensive.. My family and i always have it after church on sundays and it is still awesome. can't seem to stop.. Although when they were at Taka, not so good and hot as kept in the warmmer too long. i think the price is ok for 80cents. how abt old chang kee? you pay $1.20 for a curry puff? sotong stick for $1.50. that's expensive! paying $6 for a mac meal? how abt paying $1 for egg tart? I think you only condamn. The indian family are just trying to keep up on times.
